It's Raquel here — the face behind DailySpanishBits.
I've lived in England, France, and Spain. I've felt the joy of speaking with confidence in a new language — and the pain of not. Everything I do at DailySpanishBits comes from that experience.

English — My passion for Harry Potter led me to learn English, and later to move to England at 18.
French — My love of French philosophy motivated me to move to France at 23.
Arabic — The desire to one day read the Quran in its original language.
Sign Language — When my mum lost her hearing, I learned to connect with her in a new way.
Moving to England at 18 was one of the best decisions of my life. I got to connect with amazing people who showed me a completely different way of living. I immersed myself in the culture, the humour, the customs.
And slowly, something extraordinary happened.
Those words meant everything. I wasn't just speaking English — I was truly at home in it. I had found the English version of me.
That feeling became my compass. I wanted every one of my students to experience it too.
I decided to repeat the experience in France. After all, a life full of pains au chocolats seemed too appealing.
But this time was different. I got to work in a place where people laughed at my accent. I heard jokes about Spanish people, about my roots. I experienced firsthand what it truly feels like to be excluded because of a language barrier.
"I became more and more isolated, surrounding myself only with other Hispanic people — which didn't help my confidence, or my learning."
It was one of the hardest periods of my life. But also the most formative.
Being present but not quite clicking. Understanding most of what's said — but still feeling like an outsider. Not because of grammar. But because of something subtler, harder to name.
It's the moment you can't make the right joke at the right time. It's when your partner has to translate for you — again. It's sitting at that dinner table and catching maybe half of what's being said.
"That's exactly what I help you change."
Just like I found my English version in the UK. Not just grammar fluency — real confidence. The kind where you can joke, argue, connect and feel at home in a new language and culture.
That's what DailySpanishBits is built around. Not textbooks. Not apps. Real life.
Living abroad taught me empathy. My studies and training gave me the tools. Together, that's what makes the 3IN Method work.
The best first step is the free quiz. It takes 2 minutes. At the end you'll know exactly where you stand with your Spanish — and what's actually been holding you back.
